    Personally I don’t think it is worth “repairing” fake flash. Flash memory devices that have been programmed to fake capacities always have low quality memory chips that are prone to failure.

    Spending your time on returning a fake to it’s original capacity simply gives you something very unreliable with a limited life.

    It would be far far better if people who landed with a fake spent their time and energy on warning others rather than trying to “rescue” their fake.

    Either keep the darned thing just as you got it (as evidence of this sort of fraud) or destroy it so that no one can ever make the mistake of trying to use it.
